Jizo Peace Project

Jizo Peace Project - an offering of love and rememberance

Cherie Goodwin Lippard of Dharma Heart Zen has been hosting gatherings for the Jizo Peace Project since 2025. With the intention of honoring every child lost in Gaza and Israel these last few years, hundreds of handmade Jizos have been created as symbols of compassion, protection and remeberance. Our healing Jizo field is growing as we continue on with this creative and healing practice. You are invited to join in as we connect with each other and Jizo's natural qualities through claywork.

The Gaza Childrenโ€™s Hope Project

๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ The Gaza Children's Hope project is bringing relief to the most affected communities in Gaza.

Run by HUMANITE - a peace collective founded by refugees and war survivors - and working with local experts and volunteers, the project gives children activities, food, and a chance to rebuild their creative minds and spirits after a long war that is not yet fully over.

From the refugee tents and despair, hope and healing are emerging.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Please donate today and help these children reclaim their childhood: https://www.humanite.org/healing-children-gaza#DONATE

Every gift makes a difference. ๐Ÿ’™

Resist and Persist: Social (in) Justice
June 20 - July 26, 2026

EXHIBIT DESCRIPTION:

July 4th, 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in the United States of America. This exhibition seeks to explore the promise, contradictions, and ongoing struggle of liberty, democracy, and justice. Artists have always responded at the forefront of cultural change. In times of unrest, art does not stay silent. It speaks truth, demands change, mourns loss, and envisions hope.
